The Epila emits light energy that targets the melanin pigment in the hair destroying the follicles. It works on most skin tones with the exception of dark skin tones.

Studies from leading universities indicate that it is about 90% effective for permanent hair removal.

Session time will vary according to the area you are treating, hair density etc. but in general one leg will take about an hour. It is recommended that you take a break every 30 minutes and apply a cool towel to the area.

To use the Epila you simple apply the special cooling gel, let it absorb for a couple minutes and then move the Epila over the skin, applying the touch bar as close to the area to be treated as possible. The Epila has three intensity levels, so if one is to stron you can turn lower it.

There are several five star Epila ratings on Amazon but the general consensus on the device is not positive. Reviewers complained that the Epila Diode Laser was very time consuming. A few said they felt they had burned their skin.

Overall we feel that there are better choices for at home laser hair removal.
